QR Code for Amazon Listings
From package insert to Buy Box in one scan.
An Amazon QR code sends people directly to your product listing, brand storefront, or review page - no searching through competitors' sponsored results. Sellers print them on package inserts, trade-show flyers, and offline ads. Amazon links are long, ugly, and change often (ASINs merge, storefront URLs get restructured), which makes a short dynamic redirect the right tool: the printed code stays fixed while you steer it between listing, storefront, and promo pages.
Why use a dynamic QR code for this
Skip the search results
A shopper who searches your product name on Amazon sees rivals' sponsored listings first. A scanned code lands on your listing directly with zero detours.
One insert, many campaigns
Point the dynamic code at your new-release listing this quarter and your storefront next quarter. The printed inserts in thousands of boxes never go stale.
Storefront for offline audiences
Markets, fairs, and trade shows meet buyers who prefer Amazon's checkout and Prime shipping. A storefront QR converts them without you handling payment.
How to set it up
- 1
Copy your Amazon URL: the product listing (amazon.com/dp/ASIN), your storefront, or a promo page.
- 2
Create a dynamic QR code so the destination stays editable after printing.
- 3
Print on inserts, flyers, and signage - and repoint it as your catalog evolves.
Before you print it
If your amazon listings code may ever need to point somewhere else, create it as a dynamic QR code you can edit after printing. The printed pattern never changes; only the destination behind it does. It also means you can track every scan by day, device, and location and see which placement actually worked.
Amazon listings FAQ
Can I ask for reviews with a QR code on my package insert?
Be careful: Amazon's policies allow asking for a review but prohibit incentivizing or steering to positive-only reviews. Linking to the product page or the official 'write a review' flow neutrally is the safe pattern.
Which link should I use: listing or storefront?
Single-product brands: the listing, fewer taps to Buy. Multi-product brands: the storefront on general materials, per-product listings on per-product materials. Dynamic codes let you test both without reprinting.
Do Amazon affiliate links work in QR codes?
Technically yes - it's just a URL - but Amazon Associates rules restrict offline/print usage of affiliate links. For your own products, use regular listing links instead.
If I run inserts for several products, can one code tell me which product drove the scans?
One code produces one scan record, so a shared code mixes every product together. Make a separate dynamic code per SKU or per insert version and compare them in the dashboard, where you get total scans, device, location and time of day, plus CSV export if you want to work it out in a spreadsheet. Dynamic codes are unlimited on Pro, so one per product costs nothing extra.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Dynamic codes log every scan with time, device and rough location, so you can tell which placement is doing the work. Scan analytics are part of Pro.
