Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of QRmaker at qrmkr.io (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Note: this is a good-faith template. Have it reviewed by legal counsel before relying on it commercially.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old.

2. The Service: static vs dynamic codes

  • Static QR codes encode your destination directly. They are free and do not depend on our servers, so they keep working indefinitely.
  • Dynamic QR codes encode a redirect link we host (qrmkr.io/r/...). They are editable and tracked, and they function only while your subscription is active (see section 4).

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create codes or destinations that:

  • distribute malware, phishing, or fraudulent content;
  • are illegal, infringing, or violate others' rights;
  • contain or link to abusive, deceptive, or harmful material.

We scan destination URLs and may disable, without notice, any code or account that violates these Terms or poses a risk to other users or to our redirect domain.

4. Subscriptions, billing & cancellation

  • Pro is a recurring subscription billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.
  • You can cancel anytime from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.
  • Important: if your subscription ends, your dynamiccodes may stop redirecting and analytics may become unavailable. Your static codes are unaffected. Please plan printed campaigns accordingly.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of your destinations and content. You grant us the limited license needed to host, display, redirect, and process them to provide the Service.

6. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us. These Terms do not grant you rights to our trademarks or code.

7. Service availability

We work to keep the redirect layer fast and reliable, but the Service is provided "as is" without warranty of uninterrupted availability.

8. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in Germany have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new "last updated" date; continued use means acceptance.
