Is patient data involved?
No - codes should open general guides and public forms. Anything pet-specific stays in your practice-management portal behind its login.
What should the code on a new-client fridge magnet or collar tag point to?
Use a vCard code so one scan saves the clinic name, phone number and address straight into the owner's contacts, which is what they need at 11pm. If you would rather send them to a page with your hours and after-hours instructions, use a dynamic URL code so you can update the on-call details when your emergency partner changes. Keep it to one destination per magnet: a panicking owner will not read a menu.
Can a QR code hold a pet's own vaccination record for boarding or grooming?
Not by itself.
