Free QR code generator, no sign up
No account, no email, no watermark. The generator is right here - type a link, download a PNG or SVG, close the tab.
It runs in your browser. Your link is turned into a code on your own machine and never sent to us, which is the part most "free" generators quietly get wrong. The code you download is permanent and it has no expiry, because a static QR code encodes your destination directly instead of pointing at somebody's server.
Design & brandingcolors · logo · frames
Center logos use 30% error correction so the code still scans.
Want to edit or track this?
This makes a static code (permanent). Create a free account for dynamic codes you can edit after printing, with scan analytics.
Make it dynamic →Free forever · No watermark · Never expires
Or make it art. Same code, still scans.
AnimatedWhat "no sign up" actually means here
Plenty of generators let you design a code without an account and then ask for an email at the download step, or hand you a code that dies when a trial ends. Neither happens here. The download button is a browser download of a file your own machine produced. There is no server round-trip to gate, so there is nothing to gate it with.
The honest limit: a code made this way cannot be edited afterwards, and it cannot count its scans. Both of those need a redirect hosted somewhere, and hosting one for you is what an account is for. If you are printing something you might want to re-point later, read static vs dynamic QR codes before the print run rather than after it.
Before you print it
- Download the SVG, not the PNG, if it is going to print. It stays sharp at any size.
- Size it at roughly a tenth of the scanning distance - about 2 x 2 cm for arm's length. The print size chart has the rest.
- Keep dark modules on a light background, and leave a clear margin around the code.
- Test-scan the actual proof with two different phones before you order a run.
FAQ
Do I really not need an account?
Not for a static QR code. The generator on this page runs entirely in your browser: you type a link, it draws the code, you download it. There is no account step, no email step and no upload - your link never reaches our servers. You can confirm that by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads and generating anyway.
Is there a catch, like a watermark or a trial?
No watermark on any code, on any plan. No trial clock either: a static code is not a subscription feature, it is a picture of your link, and it keeps working whether or not you ever come back. What you cannot do without an account is edit where a printed code points, because that needs a redirect we host on your behalf.
What can I encode without signing up?
A link, plain text, WiFi credentials, a contact card, an email or phone number, and the rest of the types in the picker above. WiFi and contact codes are worth calling out: those encode the data itself rather than a link, so they work with no internet connection at all once scanned.
Will a no-sign-up code expire?
It cannot. A static code has your destination encoded in the pattern, so nothing on our side has to stay alive for it to keep working. That is the trade: it is permanent because it is unchangeable.
When would I need an account after all?
When the printed code has to change later, or when you want to know how many people scanned it. Both need a redirect that belongs to you, and a redirect needs somewhere to live. One dynamic code is free to try; unlimited ones are part of Pro.
